Christina Morelli is a writer, producer and creative consultant, with a portfolio ranging from London to California. In 2009 she founded NYC Art Scene, an indie artist resource and promotional site, where she interviewed Grammy-award winning musicians (A Great Big World, The Civil Wars), pop stars (Rachel Platten, Andy Grammer), independent artists, entrepreneurs and local breakout acts, in addition to traveling through Europe documenting the international music scene. Her work with the community led to the 2011 birth of CEO Artist, a creative consulting company, where she developed emerging artists and small businesses, produced music videos and curated events. With CEO Artist, she's blended a passion for the arts with a hard-driven business sense to help artists and entrepreneurs gain an understanding of their market, product and purpose in the industry. Christina's expertise lies in writing, producing, consulting and event planning.
A former dance studio owner, teacher and choreographer, Christina has held a professional place in the artist community for over 15 years. Her entrepreneurial spirit and way with words carved the path for a number of lucrative writing opportunities, from authoring a family biography to self-publishing her first book. In 2013 she rediscovered her love of theatre and live performance, after writing and directing a short play featured in an evening of staged readings. The following year Christina directed and produced her first original full-length play, Chasing Shadows: The Tinker Bell Effect, at the London Fringe venue, The Hen and Chickens Theatre. That following spring, Christina produced a New York staged reading of Chasing Shadows for a sold out crowd at The Barrow Group MainStage Theatre. She later adapted the work as an original web series titled DUST: A Fairy Tale with plans to pitch to network TV.
Christina is currently living in London, having recently completed her Masters in Screenwriting at London Film School. Her writing portfolio includes both feature films and TV pilots, and she continues to work as a script editor, script supervisor and producer in both the US and UK markets.
As a creative consultant, educator, and public speaker, Christina has worked with both individual clients and arts programs, including London Film School, University of Warwick, The Cockpit Theatre, The Actors Centre, International Moving Image Society, Raindance, and more.
